Meet the Team
Sara Linden,
Founder & Instructor
Sara is an expert on mahjong styles, mahjong history, and its connection to Jewish culture. Sara has played since her teens and taught mahjong classes for sixteen years. She is available to book as a keynote speaker for your next mahjong retreat, mixer, or tournament. Looking for a podcast guest? Sara speaks about building community through mahjong play, the wellness aspect of playing parlor games, her own story of combating loneliness and making friends through teaching, and playing this tile game that never loses its challenge.
Carol Weinfeld, Instructor
I met Sara in 2022 taking her Mahj Club Beginner Series. I made mahjong friends in the class and continued playing once a week. I taught my family, I taught some friends, and I played every chance I got. As Mahj Club was growing, Sara took me on as a teacher and now I’m mahjong obsessed as well! Having worked in education for decades, teaching mahjong is the perfect blend of my passions.
