Welcome to Mahj Club! With over three decades of mahjong experience and a deep passion for the game, we specialize in teaching mahjong as well as facilitating private parties, corporate events, social play, charitable fundraisers, and retreats. We are proud to serve the Southern California community and would love to help your group learn or level up your mahj game.

Sara Linden,
Founder & Instructor
My mahjong obsession began with watching The Joy Luck Club when I was in high school and grew into a full time business. I was tile-curious from the moment I saw the women playing in the movie. My mom and I took lessons together and it quickly became my way of making friends as I ventured out to school and my first career as a Biomedical Engineer. I absolutely love teaching the game and building mahjong communities.

I met Sara in 2022 taking her Mahj Club Beginner Series. I made mahjong friends in the class and continued playing once a week. I taught my family, I taught some friends, and I played every chance I got. As Mahj Club was growing, Sara took me on as a teacher and now I’m mahjong obsessed as well! Having worked in education for decades, teaching mahjong is the perfect blend of my passions.
